What is your relationship with sugar? I don’t know about you, but I have always had an extremely sweet tooth. It wasn’t until I was 30 kgs overweight in my late 50s, and desperate to lose those kgs, that I realised the source of my woes was an addiction to added or refined sugar. The food industry doesn’t help. It wants you to be addicted because that means you will repeat buy their products. Worse, sugar is hidden where you would least expect it, like in bread and savoury dishes, and let’s face it, who has time to read all the labels?
